A woman is in custody and facing numerous charges in connection to four burglaries in the Multnomah and Hillsdale Neighborhoods and officers believe the suspect is involved in additional burglaries across the metro area and beyond.

On Monday, April 1, 2024, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Central Precinct officers assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team, with the help of the Special Emergency Reaction Team and Crisis Negotiation Team, executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 8600 block of Southwest Barbur Boulevard. Officers arrested Virginia M. Kellison, 38, of Portland.

She was lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center on the following charges: Burglary in the Second Degree (four counts), Theft in the First Degree (four counts), Criminal Mischief in the First Degree (two counts), and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree (two counts).

Since July of last year, officers believe Kellison committed three burglaries at a game and comics shop in the 6300 block of Southwest Capitol Highway and one burglary at a consignment shop in the 7800 block of Southwest Capitol Highway. The value of the merchandise stolen in the burglaries exceeds $50,000. Additionally, Kellison is suspected of burglarizing businesses in Lake Oswego, Beaverton, Sherwood, Salem, McMinnville, and Southwest Washington.
