beaverton middle school student missing Milana li Conestoga Middle School found dead

Yesterday, Beaverton Police detectives asked for the public’s help in locating a 13-year-old Conestoga Middle School student.

Milana Li (pictured) had last been seen at her apartment near the intersection of SW Murray Blvd. and SW Scholls Ferry Rd. on Sunday, May 8th, around 4 p.m.

Li’s mother reported Li missing around 1:12 PM yesterday, May 09, 2022. 

According to Beaverton Police Department, on Tuesday afternoon, May 10, 2022, around 2:54 PM officers responded to Westside Linear Park near the intersection of SW Barrows Rd. and SW Horizon Blvd. on the report of suspicious circumstances. There, officers located the body of 13-year-old Milana Li in a small stream. She was deceased.

Moments ago, Beaverton School District Superintendent, Don Grotting, announced the news to parents.

“A few hours ago, we learned from the Beaverton Police Department that Milana was found dead. Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death,” Grotting said in a statement sent to parents late on Tuesday night.

“We have no other information at this time. We will have extra counselors at Conestoga Middle School tomorrow to offer support to both students and staff.”

“There are no words to express the grief of losing a child. We ask that you keep Milana’s family and friends in your thoughts tonight.”
