The Tigard Police Department is investigating a deadly hit and run crash that left one woman dead and another hurt.

On Friday, March 4th at 8:40 PM officers responded to the scene at SW Hall Blvd. and SW Lucille Court. Investigators believe two pedestrians, an adult mother and daughter, were crossing SW Hall Blvd. when they were hit by a driver who left the scene.

The daughter, a 57-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 86-year-old mother was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their names are not being released at this time.

Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a darker colored 2015-2016 Jeep Renegade. It will have significant front-end damage. If you have information that may help in the investigation, please call the non-emergency dispatch number at 503-629-0111 and ask to speak to a Tigard officer.

The Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) responded to the scene. CART is a multi-agency team of specially trained law enforcement officers from the Sheriff’s Office, local police departments, and the Washington County District Attorney’s Office. The team investigates and reconstructs traffic crashes that may result in the prosecution of felony assault or manslaughter charges. The team can also assist with diagramming crime scenes.

We’d like to thank our partners on CART as well as representatives from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Sherwood Police, Tualatin Police, Beaverton Police and King City Police for assisting with this investigation and/or handling our police calls at the time.
