A criminal interdiction mission involving multiple agencies resulted in arrests, drug seizures and firearm seizures.

On Tuesday, March 5th, 2024, East Precinct officers teamed up with representatives from the Oregon State Police, Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and Transit Police to conduct a criminal interdiction mission with an emphasis on apprehending those engaging in the sale of narcotics and the use of narcotics in the East Precinct community.

This multi-agency mission addressed the issue of criminal drug possession and dealing. Multiple dealers were taken into custody during the mission period. As with all drug-related missions, PPB handed out addiction resource cards to those persons stopped or arrested.

The mission resulted in:

42 arrests
48 felony charges
10 misdemeanor charges
50 vehicle stops
2 stolen vehicles recovered
3 firearms recovered
16 fentanyl pills seized
5.79 grams of fentanyl powder seized
181.25 grams of methamphetamine seized
7.2 grams of cocaine seized

PPB East Precinct plans to continue these missions in cooperation with other agencies in the future.
