Beaverton Police released images of a red SUV that may have caused Tuesday’s deadly hit-and-run in Beaverton.

Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Beaverton Police Department identified and contacted the driver of the vehicle of interest. At the time the Police made contact, the driver was cooperative with investigators. To protect the integrity of the on-going investigation, no additional information was released.

Beaverton Police Officers began investigating this particular hit-and-run case on Tuesday morning, after a 911 caller reported a red SUV struck an elderly female while she was in the crosswalk at the intersection of Hall Blvd. and Farmington Rd.

Officers arrived at the scene and determined the female was deceased from her injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicated the red SUV was traveling northbound on Hall Blvd. then turned westbound on Farmington Rd., striking the victim as she walked across Farmington Rd. from south to north. Photos of the vehicle can be seen in images released by Beaverton Police Department:

According to initial reports, after the vehicle struck the victim, the driver made no attempt to stop and check on the victim or exchange information.

The Washington County Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Team (CART) is currently investigating the crash. This is an ongoing investigation.
